Blackshear Ferry Landing on Oconee River (Laurens County) Closing for Construction
Oconee River Boaters and Anglers:
The Blackshear Ferry Landing Boat Ramp on the Oconee River in Laurens County will close for construction beginning Mon., November 7, 2022. The ramp will re-open in approximately 6-8 weeks pending weather, river levels or other unforeseen obstacles, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife Resources Division.
Anglers and boaters wishing to access that segment of the Oconee River may do so by using the Beaverdam WMA Ramp located approximately 13.0 miles north via Old Toomsboro Road or Shady Field Landing located approximately 20 miles south via SR19.
