On 05/11/19, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Pughes Creek bridge on Hwy 199 in East Dublin, Georgia in reference to a body located under the bridge. The body was located by two subjects hunting in the area and they contacted 911. Once deputies arrived, they found the body of a partially decomposed black male subject. At this time, the incident is being investigated as a suspicious death pending an autopsy at the crime lab. The incident was turned over to the GBI and LCSO investigators will assist them in the investigation. At this time, an identification has not been made on the individual but an autopsy will he performed at the GBI Crime Lab to determine cause and manner of death along with identification.
